MINUTES OF THE JUNE 4TH, 2008
UMM GENERAL MEETING
In
Eric's absence, Steve Lillie opened the meeting about 6:45. In spite of a recently-ended powerful storm
and a total lack of electricity in Kensington and the surrounding areas, 27
hardy souls showed up including Michael Hammond for the first time along with
his two boys William and Boyd.
Steve
welcomed the attendees and thanked them for coming. He mentioned the UMM giving program and asked
for suggestions for future giving. He
also mentioned the UMM mini golf & supper outing which will be held on
Wednesday, July 16th.
Pastor
Adam then gave a blessing before we enjoyed a great dinner prepared by Tracey
and Steve. The burgers and hotdogs,
cooked on the grill by Tracey, were delicious.
The meal was topped off by a large variety of desserts including
cookies, cake, pie and ice cream.

financial report was not given.
With
light fading in Heavener Hall, attendees slowly made their way out (with a few
detours around the dessert table) and headed home a little before 8 PM.
All
in all, a very nice ending to the 2007-08 season!
