Poinsettias – Poinsettia order deadline is TODAY.  We will be taking orders after each service.  Cost is $10.50 per plant, and you may choose red or white.  Donors for the church door wreaths are also appreciated.  Cost is $20 per wreath.  Both poinsettias and wreaths may be given in honor or in memory of loved ones.  Please make checks payable to St. Paul’s UMC.

The Star Tree is in the Octagon TODAY.  If you wish to participate in providing a Christmas gift for one of the TEAM children, please select a star, sign your name and phone number next to the number of the star on the sheet provided (it’s under the tree).  Return the gift wrapped with the star on it for identification, by next Sunday, December 17th.  If you’d like to buy a Giant or Safeway gift card for a family of TEAM children, please select an apple!

Our full and part time staff gives so much to each and everyone of us throughout the year, faithfully serving our church with compassion, professionalism and love.  To acknowledge their outstanding service, the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) would like to extend an invitation to all members of the St. Paul’s church community to contribute to a Christmas Holiday Gift Fund for the Pastors and the Church Staff.  Please have your donation arrive prior to December 15 so that we can distribute the Christmas gifts prior to the holiday.  Thank you for your generosity in recognizing the people that give so much to all of us!

1 **Important** Today and next Sunday, December 10 and 17, cars will need to be removed from the Armory parking lot by 12:30.  In an effort to work with the Town of Kensington, please honor this request.

2 TODAY our Youth Choir will serve a delicious luncheon in Heavener Hall.  The cost is $10 per adult and $7 per child.  Lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 a.m. and will be served until 1 p.m.  This will be a fundraiser for the choir trip to New York City in February.

3 Don’t miss your last chance to shop Scattered for Service, an alternative Christmas giving opportunity, today after worship, in Heavener Hall.  Place your catalog orders and shop for fair trade crafts while you wait.  Additional catalogs and order forms will be available

HEAR YE, HEAR YE…  We are in URGENT need of someone to be the coordinator of beverage servers after the 10:15 Sunday worship services, starting in January 2007.  We also need people to volunteer to serve the beverages during the coffee hour starting in January.  If we want to have something to drink after the service, we surely need people to help, so if God is tugging on your heart to take on this position, please call Diane Moore (Worship Ministries Chairperson) at 301-816-0328, so she can let Jenny Smith know that there is someone or perhaps two people that can coordinate people to be servers.  Thanks so much for considering this position.
