Opening
Prayer
Come,
Lord Jesus, here where we have gathered in your name. We need to hear your voice and learn of
you. Speak to us of gentleness and
strength. In your compassion, draw us
into your merciful embrace. Center our
spirits in your peace. Open our hearts
to your wise teaching, that we may grow wise and strong in the ways of your
kingdom. Amen.

Our
Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be
done on earth as it is in heaven. Give

into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, and the
power and the glory forever. Amen.

FREE t-shirt from the American Red Cross!!!
If you need childcare, please

SAVE THE DATE! The United Methodist Women Mother-Daughter Tea will be held on Saturday, June 10 from 2-4 p.m. in Heavener Hall. All women, including children, are welcome. Since June is the month for weddings, our theme will be weddings. Anyone who wishes to do so may wear their wedding dress or may bring their wedding dress for display. It will be fun to see how wedding dresses have changed over the years. Or bring pictures of your wedding to share. They will be a great conversation starter. If you plan to bring a dress for display, please call Virginia Bickford (301-598-5496) so she can plan adequate display space. Come join the fun! Please sign up in the office today or on June 4th; cost is $6 adults and $3 for children under twelve.
