JUNE 10th CELEBRATIONRev. Karin Walker will move into her new position with the B-W Conference as a District Superintendent starting July 2007.  We will celebrate Karin’s 4 years of service to St. Paul’s on Sunday, June 10, 2007, immediately following the 10:15 church service.

Karin has faithfully served our church with amazing vision, dedication, compassion, and love.  To acknowledge her wonderful service to St. Paul’s, the Staff Parish Relations Committee would like to extend an invitation to all members of the St. Paul’s church community to contribute to a Gift Fund for Pastor Karin. Please bring your donation to the church office and label the envelope “Rev. Walker Gift Fund” to the attention of Hal Frazier or Tracey Furman.  Please have your donation arrive prior to June 7, 2007 so that we can give her the gift during our Celebration party on June 10th.  Thank you for your generosity.

SUPPORT OUR MISSION PROJECTS IN CIUDAD SANDINO, NICARAGUA In July, 21 people from St. Paul’s will spend a week with the people of Nicaragua, working with them on two projects – one at a high school and one at a church based pre-school.  Please consider helping by donating or contributing towards the items on the following list:

18 suitcases                       money for the purchase of Spanish Bibles

     toothbrushes                      Spanish children’s books

      Pre-school toys                  paint brushes

pencils and pens, rulers     rags                      paper

      glue                                    work gloves                   construction paper

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOLWe will be offering Summer Sunday School to children ages 3 through 2nd grade in the 4-year old classroom every Sunday this summer.  This program is staffed entirely by parent volunteers.  If you can volunteer for one or two Sundays this summer, the children (and parents!) would really appreciate it.  It’s easy, very low key and relaxed.  You will not need to prepare a lesson. It is simply a safe, loving place for the younger kids to go while their parents go to church.  A sign-up sheet is located in the stairwell outside the kindergarten room.  Please consider this easy and important volunteer opportunity. ALSO, SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR NEEDED Responsibilities are limited and easy – prepare sign-up sheets for parent volunteers/sign-in sheets to use on Sunday and make sure snack & craft supplies are available.  Please let Laura Nelson know if you are interested.  She will be happy to answer any questions you have. 301-596-1620 or 4Nelson@comcast.net
