Opening Prayer

We have set aside this day to honor the contributions of mothers, O God.  We offer prayers of appreciation for the sacrifices and guidance that mothers and mother figures provide.  We pray for reconciliation where families are hurting, and comfort for the ways the hearts of mothers and children can be broken.  We pray for all who find this a day of sadness instead of joy.  We ask that by the inspiration of your love, our family love can be stronger, purer, less conflicted and more nurturing.  In the name of Christ, whose love is abundant.  Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.

Karin has faithfully served our church with amazing vision, dedication, compassion, and love.  To acknowledge her wonderful service to St. Paul’s, the Staff Parish Relations Committee would like to extend an invitation to all members of the St. Paul’s church community to contribute to a Gift Fund for Pastor Karin. Please bring your donation to the church office and label the envelope “Rev.
