God, we gather in your presence hoping to be nurtured in your love and at the
same time challenged to greater faithfulness.
Help us to be obedient unto you and to follow your call. Like Jonah, give us the discernment we need
to choose the path you put before us.
But help us not to resist so much that we can’t find our way out of a
fish belly. We thank you for your
guidance and your trust in us. Amen.
