& “Celebrating the Third Place –TODAY, from 11:30 to 1 p.m., Mike McCurry and David Stegmaier will lead a book study.  They recommend first reading the author’s earlier book, “The Great Good Place”, as it provides the context for his later work.  You are invited to read these inspiring stories about the “great good places at the heart of our communities….where the magical combination of comfort, familiarity, and good company transform an ordinary hangout into our special third place.”  Both books are available at Amazon.com.

** Tuesdays Together – Please join us for this month’s Tuesdays Together on April 17.  It starts with worship and communion in the Sanctuary at Noon, followed by a casual lunch ($4) and fellowship in the Octagon at 12:30.  Sign up in the Church Office or just show up!  For more information, contact Meg Baker (301-589-1348).

*** Justice & Compassion Team’s regular meeting has been moved up to Wednesday, April 18.  They will be considering mission projects – as part of the Capital Campaign – to recommend to the Church Council, which will meet on April 25, and topics of interest for their faith and politics series.  They meet in the Parlor, 7:30 p.m. and anyone who just wants to drop in and find out what they’re up to are welcome!
