*CALL TO WORSHIP
L: With the stone rolled away came
emptiness…
P: Of a tomb
that was once filled with death.
L: With the stone rolled away came
questions
P: From
those who were seeking a sign of promise.
L: With the stone rolled away came light
P: To
illumine the darkness and radiate the beams of new hope
P: With
the company of those who through history confess
Jesus Christ is risen
today. Alleluia! Amen.

OPENING PRAYER (Unison)
Oh God, we come offering you honor and praise.
You are God who causes the breath to fill our lungs,
our eyes to
see, and our lips to proclaim your merciful name.
We give you thanks for new life, for resurrection
life,
and the
chance to be renewed in your love.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Sun, moon, earth and stars break forth in exultation!
All creation sings the glorious resurrection!
Christ is risen! Death is vanquished!
Heav’n and earth repeat the glad refrain.
Mountains, hills and dales ring out with acclamation!
Oceans, lakes and vales all join the glad ovation.
Hymns of praise then let us sing,
Unto Christ our heav’nly King,
Who endured the cross and grave,
Sinners to redeem and save.
O what glory far exceeding all that eye had yet perceived.
Holiest
hearts for ages pleading, never had such joy conceived.
(Following the
message, children are asked to return to their seats for the rest of the
service.)

L: The Lord be with you.
P: And also
with you.
L: Lift up your hearts.
P: We lift them
up to the Lord.
L: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
P: It is right
to give our thanks and praise.
(The pastor gives thanks,
remembering God’s acts of salvation.)
L: And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
P: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of
power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory, Hosanna in the
highest. Blessed is he who comes in the
name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
(The pastor continues the
thanksgiving and concludes)
L: And
so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer
ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union
with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.
P: Christ has
died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.
(The pastor continues and
concludes)
L: All honor and glory is yours, almighty
God, now and for ever.
P: Amen.
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it
is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory
forever. Amen.
Communion today is by
intinction. Please take your piece of
bread and dip it into the cup and then partake.
Feel free to kneel at the
communion railing after receiving communion if you wish. We practice open communion. All, regardless of age or religion, are
welcome at the Lord’s Table. Please come
at the direction of the ushers.
