Call to Confession

A merciful God invites us to share our failures and shortcomings.

Prayer of Confession

Faithful One of the ages, you are our Creator.  In the beginning you raised us from the dust of the ground and breathed into our nostrils the breath of life.  Ever since, we have rebelled against you, thinking we knew better what was good and evil, and we have hidden from you.  But we always come back, Lord.  Embrace us, dear God, as we return home.  Amen.

Silent Prayer of Confession

Words of Assurance

Because of God’s gracious love, our sins are forgiven.  Praise be to God.  Amen.

Reception of New Members

Pastoral Prayer & Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.
