RETREAT:  A time of reflection and sharing together.  Two years ago, St. Paul’s had a powerful retreat for the women of the congregation.  Last year, couples had the opportunity to retreat together.  Participants had a rich and special experience.  This winter we’d like to offer Friday evening, February 23, to Saturday, February 24, late afternoon, for a retreat and ask for interest and availability.  Women?  Couples?  Men?  Retreat will be held in Carroll County, about an hour away.  Cost runs about $100 per person, total.  Please email your comments ASAP to stpaulsunited@verizon.net.  Thanks!

During the UMYF Middle High Lock-In, Feb. 2-3, members will be making valentines and putting together “Care Packages” for those connected with our congregation who are serving overseas with our armed forces.  Families of our service men and women are requested to provide the church office with current mailing addresses and suggestions for what items (socks, food, coffee, etc.) might be most appreciated by the recipients.  Donations towards the cost of purchasing items and the cost of postage will also be appreciated.  Our deadline for all information is Wednesday, January 31st!

The newly formed Congregational Health Ministry has scheduled an open meeting on Monday, January 22, at 7 p.m. in the church Library.  Any interested persons are asked to attend and help identify health issues of our members.  Call either Sue Roberts (301-881-3670) or Kaye McMullen (301-942-8986) if you have any questions.

* Together in 2007 – Please join us for the first Tuesdays Together of the New Year on January 16th.  We begin with worship and communion in the Sanctuary at Noon, followed by lunch ($4) and fellowship in the Octagon at 12:30.  It’s a great way to share faith, celebrate life, and “fill up” your spiritual tank mid-week.  Sign up in the church office or just show up!  For more information, contact Meg Baker (301-589-1348).
